Cat faeces 'may be killing whales'
* Thursday August 30 2007
Pet owners who flush cat faeces down the lavatory may be responsible for
the deaths of whales, dolphins and porpoises around Britain's coast,
according to academics and public health experts.
They have found evidence of a common parasite in dead marine mammals and
say family cats could be be the unwitting source. Cats are essential to
the life cycle of toxoplasma gondii, which can infect most mammals and
birds but only as part of the food chain.
The possible link to dolphin deaths has been raised by staff from
Swansea and Glamorgan universities and the National Public Health
Service for Wales in a letter to the Veterinary Record. They say that in
California concern that cat faeces have contributed to sea otter deaths
has led to disposal warnings on bags of cat litter. But little is known
about infection in marine species around Britain.
Blood samples from dead stranded cetaceans revealed infection in one in
70 harbour porpoises, in six of 21 common dolphins and in the only
hump-backed whale tested. Nearly one in eight Swansea University and
health service employees admitted flushing cat faeces away.

Oh no. I hate to disappoint you, but those cutesy cats are not
doing this unwittingly; it's VERY deliberate. Wasn't there a movie a
few years back entitled something like "The Secret Lives of Cats and
Dogs", which detailed that they have in fact been at war almost as
long as they've been here, and merely pretend to be "dumb animals" so
that we'll continue to adopt them as pets, a means by which each group
hopes to gain the upper paw against the other?

That proves it as far as I'm concerned. Remember "The
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? Remember how the MICE are portrayed
as being the alien invaders? They don't want you to know that cats and
dogs jointly hold the position of first most intelligent species, and
the Dolphins second; that's why they're trying to kill them off. The
dogs could have wised people up to this, but they figure it's not in
their interests.

The cats think they're smarter than the dogs. They may be
over-reaching in trying to wipe out other species along with dogs. The
dogs are biding their time, but rest assured, they know what's going
on.
