Minister Questions Bush Administration's Muslim Accommodations
By Bill Fancher
November 9, 2004
(AgapePress) - A Washington, DC-based religious leader is wondering
why there seems to be a double standard when it comes to how Muslims
and Christians are treated in the nation's capital.
Rev. Rob Schenck, president of the National Clergy Council (NCC),
remembers the objections that led to the cancellation of a room that
had been set aside for Bible studies at the U.S. Department of
Justice.
That is why he now wonders why the State Department is allowed to set
aside a room for Muslims to use for prayer during Ramadan.
