Ever notice that NeoCon = Israel? |
Israel is behind the NeoCon movement. The entire philosophy is geared to
having the US get into the pool with Israel. And we're now in the pool's
deep end. Bush is a mere puppet. Iraq is just the beginning - before long us
in Iraq will be like Israel in Gaza with death and action everyday. Look at
the NeoCons and their support networks - all Israel-trackable.

I've noticed that if people make anti-Israel comments, as non-jews (I'm
assuming you're non-jewish), we are called "anti-semitic". But if a jewish
person makes these same critical anti-Israel comments, they are considered
progressive and legitimate perspectives. There are many jewish people and
organizations who are not fans of Israel - like Neturei Karta.

"Palestine." Maybe something really technical and ugly, you know, like U.S.
or U.A.E., or U.S.S.R. Those are taken, but there are plenty left.
There would likely be some sporadic violence between the factions for a few
decades, but for the most part, once Palestinians have access to the same
water, land, and economy as Israelis, the root of their complaints will be
gone.
Religious fervor is merely used to justify violence. The true root of
violence is economic conditions.

You haven't been paying attention. There have been some 1400 suicide
bombing attempts over the past few years, all of them conducted by
Palestinians, almost all of these against innocent civilians. The
Arabs talk constantly about driving the Jews into the sea/burning them
at the stake/etc. when they crush Israel. Hussein dropped SCUDs on
Tel Aviv the last chance he had. Whether or not you disagree with how
the state of Israel was founded it's way too late to be "anti-Israel"
w/o being for the murder of tens of thousands of Jews. Unless you
intend to offer them land in your country to resettle after the Arabs
take over, that is.
If you would care to rephrase this in terms of "opposed to Israeli
policies" I'd be more inclined to give you a pass as long as you could
intelligently discuss actual Israeli policies. As a rule I find that
most of you have no clue what you're talking about, however, and it

If you would care to rephrase this in terms of "opposed to Israeli
policies" I'd be more inclined to give you a pass as long as you could
intelligently discuss actual Israeli policies. As a rule I find that
most of you have no clue what you're talking about, however, and it
all devolves into "Israel is full of Jews so I am AUTOMATICALLY
opposed to Israel!"

I welcome your call to discuss policies or politics in an intelligent and un biased way.
I notice that when ever the terms "Jews" or "Arabs " (racial) , "Islamic Fundamentalists"
or
"Zionists" (political) are used in these kinds of posts
as opposed to "Israelis" or "Palestinians" (national) they usually imply , or degenerate
into
a hateful race based bias. ( Even though all of these terms are capable of being used in
a non hateful way, in this day and age it is rare)
I think in the present case , acts of inhumanity, terror , and war crimes are committed by
all sides in these conflicts.
Both peoples and cultures contain individuals holding inflexible hatreds, as well as those
wishing for peace and co existence. The pity is that no outside body seems capable of
interceding between the two sides and forging an enforceable peace.
One side alone will never succeed in imposing it's will on the other with out unending
resistance or aggression. It seems that both sides have been doing just that with
predictable results.
Shame on us all...

circumstance. Palestinians have shown no effort what so ever to peacefully
coexist with Israel. Clinton got every point the Palestinians demanded,
with the exception of another Masada, and Yasser Arafat turned it down,
flat. Your post suggests that the Palestinian view and the Israeli view are
somehow morally equivalent. This is a vicious and hateful lie. It is most
especially hateful because it couches falsehood in the language of
reasonable scholars, when it is most decidedly unreasonable.

Arafat & crew make a lot more money off the West by blowing up Israeli
school children rather than peacefully coexisting with them. In any
sane society they'd be hunted down by mobs with pitchforks and killed;
instead Europe and the US send them Big Fat Checks every year.
Arafat's personal fortune is over $3 Billion dollars, mostly from
monies diverted from Palestinian relief aid over the years, and his
wife lives like a princess in Paris. Much the same is true of the
other Palestinian leadership: They've gotten filthy rich off of UN
relief money meant to feed, house, and cloth their people.

I will address you as "tica" since you don't see
fit to asign any other name to your self

ignorance of the
historic facts concerning this "conflict".
I would go so far to assume this is the result of
misinformation eagerly consumed
by a hateful and biased mind.
This is evidenced by your twisting what I said to
impute that I view the two sides in this conflict
as being "somehow morally equivalent" . Though I am
loath to use the term "Morally" in this sentence,
The only equivalence I see is the savage barbarity
in which both sides slaughter innocent civilians ,
and in the methods used by both sides to terrorize
each other.
Both sides are guilty of committing crimes against
humanity, war crimes, and gross violations of human
rights.
You are correct however in suggesting that there is
a great imbalance between the two sides.
The imbalance is evidenced by comparing the number
of fatalities. The fact one side has Nuclear
weaponry , An air force, an army, a navy , the
financing , arming , encouragement and diplomatic
protection
of the world's most powerful Nation, while the other
side has been reduced to smuggled small arms and
homemade bombs.
Oh , I almost forgot to mention, one side is
occupying and settling the land where the other
lives to the point that
it would not be unfair to compare the areas they
have been squeezed into as large refugee camps
comparable to ghettos
and a gulag of towns turned into concentration camps
or open air prisons.
Since the facts on the ground are self evident , How
can the actions possibly be defended, except by the
basest of lies and misrepresentations . Sure it is a
dirty war waged with out restraint of tatics, but
the legacy of the crimes will
taint forever those on both sides guilty of them.
Again I say , shame on us all for not speaking out
more forceably against this on going obscenity .
