Ex-GOP House leader decries party's big spending
By DAN HOOVER

***** Armey, the former U.S. House Republican leader, chided his former
colleagues Wednesday for embracing the big spending habits they once
attributed to Democrats.
"One of the reasons I left (Congress) was because I was tired being in
a position of being majority leader where I felt compelled to have to
be supportive of legislation I didn't feel was (fiscally)
appropriate," he said.
After the 2001 terror attacks, Congress rightly appropriated virtually
unlimited sums for military action and homeland defense, Armey said,
but afterward, the Republican majority allowed "the infection to
spread through the entire" budget.
"There has been no semblance of any discipline since 9/11," Armey
said.
Armey's remarks came during a meeting with reporters and editors of
the Greenville News.

son. Just a fact.

Sorry son, but when you cut revenue and increase spending you get
monster deficits...

And this is a reason to not defend yourself? Like during WWII, maybe,
when the deficit became three times the budget?

If Bush is elected again, you can probably relive that one. It is insane to
try to make a case that the present crap is anything like WWII.

What percentage of federal government expenditures go to feeding winos,
druggies, and freeloading bums? Please be specific and provide a reference
to supporting documentation.

you missed it? Amazing... Get your head out of "moveon.org", and go
to Ny city. Look at the big hole in the ground.
These people killed 3000 US citizens. They want to kill all of us.
In fact, they want to kill any non-muslim.
Even from purely economic grounds you should ask those questions.
Only someone so morally corrupt would think that "economic grounds" is
sufficient, or even a consideration.
You must be a Canadian, right?

And Armey is absolutely correct. Proves he is not a Dim, who must
follow the Dim party line.
Bush is spending like a drunken sailor in a whorehouse.
