Exxon Mobil profit leaps on oil prices
By Deepa Babington
NEW YORK (Reuters) -
Exxon Mobil Corp. on Thursday posted a quarterly profit of $9.9
billion, its biggest ever and one of the largest in U.S. corporate
history, as it raked in a bonanza from soaring oil and gas prices.
Record profits for Big Oil at a time when consumers are paying
sky-high prices for gasoline have brought calls for a windfall profits
tax or other penalties on oil companies.

Nah, I could really care less about Bush. I'm a free market guy.
Interesting though how you complain taxpayers are getting screwed when
private industry is the so called culprit. But, when the govt does the
bilking you are strangely silent. Although I am far from surprised.

rofl Maybe if you're illiterate. 'Private industry' did not just give the
oil companies 14 billion dollars to DEFEAT free market principles. The
candidates YOU support did it. To you. And you lap it up and say "please,
sir, may I have another?" lol
