Foley did not go after "young boys". He went after a 16-year old
teenager. Had there not been workplace coercion, and the Internet
involved what he did would have been legal, since the age of consent
in DC is 16. Think back to being 16 yourself. You would have been
insulted if anyone had referred to you as a "young boy". "Young man"
or "teenager" would be more accurate.
Technically Foley is an ephebophile, or a "chicken hawk" in gay slang.
You can see by the term, the gay community itself looks down on
ephebophiles, same as straight people do.
I want to hang the entire Republican party using Foley as much as the
next guy, but I insist on accuracy.
