I felt that Ford should have let the criminal process run its course
and then, if Nixon was convicted, issue a pardon or commutation.
California authorities could have pursued state charges against Nixon
but chose not to.

I think you meant "prosecuted" rather than "impeached". Once Nixon
resigned there was no need to proceed with impeachment.

Actually....no. The judge didn't like his "answer". It was accurate
because the question was poorly phrased. The judge decided, contrary to
the Supreme Court's position, that the president *IS* a special person
and the fact he is a lawyer in addition meant he should have answered
in the spirit of the question, not the letter.
Don't feel too bad, you're just maintaining the perfect reichwing score
of using a lie where the truth would suffice.
