High gas prices are posted at a Shell gas station in San Francisco,
Thursday, May 10, 2007. With gasoline prices poised to break records
at the pump, energy futures prices jumped Thursday as traders noticed
a gas supply imbalance in the fine print of Wednesday's government
inventory report.

It's already over $5 in Alaska where Bush/Cheney are drilling holes.

No one listens or cares when drug addicts complain that the cost
of drugs has
gone too high, so why should it be any different when people who are
addicted to
gas start complaining?
Is the price of gas really high in relation to other things? If
you have a car that
gets 20 MPG at $4.00 per gallon, that means it costs $20.00 to go 100
miles. To
go 100 miles in a car generally takes an hour, slightly less if you're
a speeder.
You can pay the ticket later. So basically you're paying $20.00 for
two hours.
Bowling or playing golf for 2 hours isn't much different in price. If
you sat down to
eat a meal for 2 continuous hours, it would cost more than
$20.00 ...
I drive myself, for a living, and cannot deny being personally
annoyed on those
occasions when I look at the numbers spinning on the pump. But
overall I don't
think gas is more expensive than anything else, and we're the ones who
put
ourselves in this position in the first place. As we make our world
smaller and
smaller it's going to cost more to get around. That's the way it
goes.

So, to fill up an SUV, it'll be 100 bucks please.
Ha, ha, we should have listened to Jimmy Carter. It servers us right.
Now, we've got to pay.

Gas a dollar gallon, $30 dollars for 30 gallons.
Gas at two dollars gallon, $60 dollars for 30 gallons.
Gas at three dollars a gallon, $90 dollars for 30 gallons
Gas at four dollars a gallon, $120 dollars for 30 gallons
Gas at five dollars a gallon, $150 dollars for 30 gallons

This is crazy. I would figure Bush with his oil connections could
ensure low gas proses. Not record oil profits.

Before you read on, I did not read the articles. I know that gas will
go up. Last year I gave up thinking that more dollars is more
purchasing power. I use my own currency to measure my money. It is
in Gallons. How many gallon does my money buy today. The more
gallons it buys, the more things are getting better. Does a COLA
increase in my check keep ahead of the Gallons I can buy? If not,
then living a long life is not going to be a dream.

I just watch other commodities. Tie your own view of inflation to
something like milk or flour.
Of course, I also took certain steps when gasoline was, oh, $1.75 a
gallon. Moved, so that I could need less.
I see a lot of people buying larger cars, moving farther away from the
center of town, and it makes no sense to me.

I like to watch the commodities also. Through the years I found that
most of the food is made with oil also (fertilizers) and I wondered
if the whole pile of stuff we use is from oil. I could not go a day
without contact with plastics. That raises a frightening thought.
If we solved the energy crises right now , we only put of the oil
problem for fifty years. 2 out 3 barrels go to food and stuff. There
is no alternative to eating food. Now I can say, life sucks.

If they found a way to make fuel from human waste, all it would
mean for now
is that human waste will cost $4.00 a gallon. As long as people
complain about
the price, that means they're paying it, which in turn means they put
high value on
getting around in their cars. Placing high value on something means
it's time to
pay for it. That's the American way. Some people pay $200 for a pair
of walking
shoes. The shoe salesman sells sneakers to people for $200, then
complains
that the price of gas is too high. Funny.

Sorry, I should read my posts before sending them. I meant to
say it takes
two hours, not one.
