Object: genocide
I just read in a magazine called "The Walrus" about how Lynden Johnson and
Nixon started bombing Cambodia from 1965 to 1973 I believe. More bombs were
dropped in this country(more than 2,700,000 tons) than what was dropped
during the entire WW2 campaign(including nuclear), making Cambodia possibly
the most bombed country in history, killing 100's of 1000's of innocent
people guilty of nothing but being adjacent to Vietnam. Because of this
indiscriminante bombing, 10's of 1000's of recruits joined the Khmer Rouge,
which led to the other slaughter of 1.7 million more innocent lives. I
wonder if Americans even realize the genocide that their military/gov't is
guilty of. And Bush wonders why they're sitting where they are now. Deficits
out the ying yang, even more millions of dollars being spent everyday for
troops in Iraq, which are being killed every day and no end in site. America
has been a superpower for god knows how long, their politicians had the
power to help out anyone anytime they wanted, and chose to do nothing but
kill people. They brought it all on themselves. And the world did nothing
but watched.
