GEORGE SOROS AND AMERICA'S COMING ELECTION CRISIS |
A Three-Part Series
GEORGE SOROS AND AMERICA'S COMING ELECTION CRISIS
By Richard Poe
July 16, 2004
"THE GOVERNMENT of the most powerful country on earth has fallen
into the hands of extremists...," writes George Soros in his 2003 book
The Bubble of American Supremacy. "[T]he far right is in power in the
United States... [P]resident Bush came to office without a clear
mandate -- he was elected president by a single vote on the Supreme
Court."
With these words, Soros threw down the gauntlet. He declared the Bush
presidency tyrannical and illegitimate. Unlike other Democrats,
however, Soros has the money, the power and the experience to put his
inflammatory rhetoric into action.
The clenched fist of Otpor ("Resistance"), a network of some 70,000
militant youth whom Soros paid to oust Serbian President
Slobodan Milosevic Soros helped bankroll the 1989 coup d'etat that
catapulted dissident playwright Vaclav Havel to the presidency of the
Czech Republic. The relatively bloodless uprising acquired the
nickname "Velvet Revolution." To this day, people throughout the
former Soviet bloc use the term "velvet revolution" to denote
Soros-sponsored coups. Soros boasts openly in his writings and
interviews of subverting governments in Croatia, Slovakia, Yugoslavia
and the Republic of Georgia. Now, like a big-game hunter facing
retirement, the 73-year-old Wall Street billionaire seeks the ultimate
trophy to crown his mantel – the head of George W. Bush on a pike.
"America under Bush is a danger to the world,"
Soros told the Washington Post on November 11, 2003. Ousting Bush,
said Soros, "is the central focus of my life... a matter of life and
death."
Americans may well find ourselves facing an Eastern-European-style
Velvet Revolution in November. I first warned of this danger in
"George Soros' Coup" -- an investigative report I wrote for the May
2004 issue of NewsMax Magazine. On May 18, I appeared on The O'Reilly
Factor to speak on the Soros threat. Mr. Soros' spinmeisters have been
working overtime ever since, their ham-fisted efforts at damage
control providing some wan amusement in the midst of an otherwise
somber situation.
In the three-part series below, I offer further evidence in support of
my theory that Soros has no intention of playing by the rules this
November. On the contrary, the Democrat strategy shaping up under
Soros' guidance strongly resembles one of his trademark Velvet
Revolutions in the making.

Americans may well find ourselves facing an Eastern-European-style
Velvet Revolution in November.
By the end of this election cycle, Soros will likely have spent about
13 million dollars.
The Washington Times and Insight Magazine, a subsidy to the Republican
party paid for by Koreans, blows as much as one hundred million
dollars per year.
The efforts of other Republican front groups, such as the Heritage
Foundation, may add up to an additional three hundred million dollars
per year.
The amount spent on the Presidential election is going to be more than
half a billion dollars.
I doubt Soros' 13 million is going to make that big a difference in
that pool of spending.
And as another irony, the author claiming Soros is taking over has
himself been supported by Richard Scaife contributions, in part.
The notion of Scaife buying political leverage seems ok with Mr Poe,
but the corresponding idea of Soros doing that strikes him as very
sinister.

Doesn't the United States have laws regarding it's citizen's
interference in the affairs of foreign countries, such as backing
revolutions? I wouldn't worry too much about George Soros; they could
probably put him away any time they wanted to.

Doesn't the United States have laws regarding it's citizen's
interference in the affairs of foreign countries, such as backing
revolutions?
Yes. It apparently is against the law not to interfere. Thus we used
our CIA to put the Shah in power, supported those who assassinated the
elected leader of Chile, etc.
We do that a few times a year, because the law requires us to.
I wouldn't worry too much about George Soros; they could
probably put him away any time they wanted to.
Well, sure. They can put anyone away, you included. They just have to
say you are an enemy combatant, and then snatch you in secret and take
you to Guantanamo.
They are going to takes some Supreme Court justices there pretty soon
if they don't wise up.
