George W. Bush's Propaganda War Goes on Trial |
The man is a well-trained mathematician with a degree from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
His friends in the Pentagon chose him to be the first head of state in
a democratic Iraq.
His single-minded persuasiveness was enough to convince even a
hard-nosed New York Times reporter like Judith Miller that Iraq
possessed weapons of mass destruction.
And he even managed to convince a crusty old curmudgeon like US Vice
President ***** Cheney that Iraqis would welcome their American
liberators with cheers and rose petals.
But the man is also a convicted bank defrauder.
He never did quite manage to become head of Iraq, but climbed as high
as prime minister.
He fell from White House grace because when American troops reached
Baghdad, there were no rose petals to be found.
Now, though, comes the show-stopper in this back-and-forth biography:
This week, 60-year-old Ahmed Chalabi -- only briefly out of favor in
the White House -- will return once more to Washington for a friendly
reception as a guest of the United States of America.
Chalabi -- known both as a dishonest rascal and as an assertive
schemer -- is the only one the White House really trusts to create a
realistic coalition of Shiites, Kurds and Sunnis in Baghdad.
And such a coalition is an absolute prerequisite to any thoughts of
American withdrawal from the country.
The very fact that Washington's hopes are once again pinned on such a
charlatan says a lot about just how desperate the situation in Iraq
has become.
In the middle of last week -- a week which quickly became one of the
darkest of the 250 weeks US President George W. Bush has occupied the
White House -- American deaths in Iraq reached the symbolic threshold
of 2,000 victims.

BLACK DAYS FOR LIBBY, ROVE AND THE WHITE HOUSE
George W. Bush's Propaganda War Goes on Trial
By Hans Hoyng and Georg Mascolo
They are two of the Bush administration's most trusted advisors: I.
Lewis Libby and Karl Rove.
Now, one has been indicted and the other may be soon.
The affair promises to put the administration's Iraq policy on trial
and will ask uncomfortable questions about just how much the danger
from Iraq was exaggerated.

It's about a violation of US national security and global security from
nuclear weapons to defend lies leading to an illegal belligerent war. The
perjury of one man is a minor detail.

islamofascist terrorists.
Of course, and Watergate was just a burglary.
I cant wait till this is over and nothing has changed but the level of
vitriol from the kooks.
"Can't wait," until the fat lady sings, right?
It's pretty excruciating isn't it? But don't you worry, Bush has 38
or so months left in office, and for those who continue to blindly
follow this AWOL Commander of Chimps over the cliff into political
oblivion of historical proportions, it's gonna be Abu Graib, or
Guantanamo once stripped naked to expose their treasonous lies and
deceit, then cattle prodded and reamed with the red hot shaft of
justice, as the sphincters of those on Fox and neo-conservative talk
radio, and especially here on the Usenet begin to contract with the
shrill of wanton agony.
Yes, this is not over by a long shot, and you monkeys and clowns
oughta start putting on 'yer blue dresses, and yellow ribbons for the
Texas style ho-down.
"I cant wait ...." You need to exercise a bit more patience. This is
only just the beginning.
You sound like a french *****, dreaming of the good old days when the
troop
ships would arrive.
HarHarHar! Is that all you've got? Some weak assed poodle fahking
fantasizing frenchy shitte drivel that has you jerking yourself into a
fit about? Hell. And why didn't you throw in that drunken Ted
Kennedy - Is - A - Murderer vomit from back in the 60's that you keep
on knuckle dragging around behind you like a dead cat?
And you? What about YOU? A semen-stained blue dressed,
cross-dressing seig heiling *****-stained Republican troll in the form
of Jeff Gannon strolling around Kreuzberg, or Schöneberg, or Mitte, or
Friedrichshain or Prenzlauer Berg, or even at the zoo looking for a
chimp to sadistically hump.
You're certainly are the pathetic one. Now, get back to your "freedom
fries" and your before your monkey gets a hold of it.
At least *al I have* doesn't take endless drivel to express.

If anything sounds like it's come loose is your inability to counter
the points that I've raised. And all that I've humbly proven to this
point in our exchange is that you are indeed mentally challenged
simply because of your rectal-cranial inversion, which of course
renders all this far beyond your hunt-and-peck capacity to counter.
And of course it goes without mention, that this is directed at YOUR
hilarious lack of prose, and YOUR at expense since that blue dress
fits you. Wear it well.

Regarding the Senate Intelligence Committee Special Session Nov. 1,
2005:
Republicans - from Bush to Cheney to Rumsfeld to Rove to Wolfowitz to
Rice et al have been dragging their feet on releasing information about
misuse and manipulation of intelligence for good reason: They FEAR
being trapped by the truth.
Forget the tired WMD stuff. The truth is that Bush, not a real swift
guy, was cajoled by Cheney, not a real honest guy, into "making a case
for war" at any cost. The rationale? Oil! Cheney was implacable in his
determination to seize Iraq and its petroleum resources. Cheney
believed that the U.S. cannot depend any longer on Saudi Arabia as a
sincere ally, especially after the 9/11 terrorists were confirmed as
Saudi nationals.
Bush, descended from oil wealth, was easily convinced by Strongheart
***** (another oil guy) that we had to attack Saddam in order to secure
petroleum resources to protect Dumbya's and *****'s personal fortunes,
and energy to fuel U.S. corporate growth at home and abroad.
Thus was the "case for war" hatched. Administration personnel at the
highest levels were tasked to spread fear and uncertainty post-9/11
throughout the country. The anthrax scare resonated as much as the
Twin Towers and Pentagon attacks. Thus were fabricated "stories"
linking Hussein to 9/11 and WMDs and Osama bin Laden, and visions of
more horrific terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.
The general public, especially right-wingers, were duped into believing
these scary "predictions" and scenarios and their ginned-up details,
and politicos like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry also supported (to
their everlasting sorrow) the president's call for war! Against a
sovereign nation!
So here we are, still seeking information as to whether we were tricked
into war. But sadly, though the rationale was trumped up, the majority
of our politicians were LED into what is among America's worst foreign
policy blunders.
So I say, you go Senate Intelligence Committee Democrats! After a
year-and-a-half, this committee's report is LONG overdue!
