York Times front page detailed the horrific Haditha massacre. It is almost
inconceivable to think of participating in any Fourth of July event
without raising impeachment.

Declare your independence by turning your Fourth of July into an
ImpeachBush event. George Bush's criminal conduct has never been more
exposed, with his approval ratings dropping to 29 percent (compare that to
Nixon's 24% before his resignation). There has never been a better time to
bring more people into the impeachment movement than now.

On July 4, millions of people in the U.S. will gather with friends and
family to celebrate the independence of the United States from an earlier
despotic ruler, King George III. This July 4, we will declare our
independence from current day despot, George W. Bush, whose imperial wars
of aggression, secret worldwide torture centers, domestic spying on the
American people, and criminal neglect of the people of New Orleans,
constitute high crimes and misdemeanors that require impeachment.

The purpose of the July 4th Independence from George W. event is to take
advantage of this annual celebration to reach out, on a personal
one-to-one level, to the millions of people across the U.S. who have come
to recognize that Bush needs to go, but who have not yet become an active
part of the impeachment movement. With a swell of ImpeachBush events in
backyards and in block BBQs across the country, we can make it clear that
Impeachment is the dominant sentiment and create a welcoming environment
to encourage others to actively display their support for impeachment. We
know the media and the Congress recognize the strength of the impeachment
movement as it becomes undeniable and visually omnipresent.

We want everyone who agrees with the goals of the movement to display
their support and to create an undeniable public force. Everyone who comes
to an impeachment event, and wants to become a visible and active part of
