Georgie Bush wakes up from his nap and finds...Ta Da...climate change |
Did you know that global climate change is a serious challenge?
Apparently Our Great Leader has just realized this.
PRESIDENT BUH:
America is on the verge of technological breakthroughs that will
enable us to live our lives less dependent on oil.
And these technologies will help us be better stewards of the
environment, and they will help us to confront the serious challenge
of global climate change.
That's right folks - the "serious challenge of global climate change."
No doubt Sen. James Inhofe almost had a heart attack after that line -
it wasn't long ago that he declared global warming to be the "greatest
hoax ever perpetrated on the American people."

(In case you forgot, Inhofe also happened to be chairman of the Senate
Environment and Public Works Committee at the time.)
But it's nice to see that George W. Bush has finally come around to
the idea that climate change is a "serious challenge."

But hey, it's good to know that the serious challenge of global
climate change deseves at least one sentence in the 2007 State of the
Union address.
