For the past 30 years the country has become more and more divided -
divided because the right wing GOP wants to impose it's pseudo religious
beliefs on the rest of us without our consent.
Before the rise of the Christian Coalition we had small deficits - today
we have trillions of dollars of new debt. Debt created because fake
Christians didn't care how much their tax cuts were costing the next
generation.
Before the rise of the CC we didn't go to war for no reason. Today we
not only go to war for no reason but after we learned the reasons for
war were lies they told us it was unpatriotic to oppose the liars who
lied to us and took us to war.
Conservatism is incompatible with Christianity and Democracy.

I wouldn't say that Bush and company went to war for no reason. Take a
look at the PNAC website for a better understanding.

They went to war for no reason that had anything to do with their
oaths of office. I don't recall the part that went, "and enrich my
friends' pockets, and my own pockets, to the best of my ability,
legally or otherwise, regardless of how many deaths I have to cause".

Gingrich, wasn't he the guy that came up with the Contract for America -
a 10 point plan, of which, none are in any way even remotely
accomplished today.
Why follow a guy that's wrong 10 out of 10 times?

"A growing culture of radical secularism declares that the nation
cannot profess the truths on which it was founded," Gingrich said. "We
are told that our public schools can no longer invoke the creator, nor
proclaim the natural law nor profess the God-given quality of human rights."
Sounds like Newt doesn't really understand the principles on which the
nation was founded.
Doesn't the God-given quality of human rights include slavery?
