"God help us if we have another attack." |
The 9/11 Commission (remember them?) released a report last week
intended to evaluate how well the government has dealt with the 41
recommendations made in their original report.
So do you want the good news, or the bad news?
Just kidding, there isn't any good news.
According to the Commission's new evaluation, the government deserves
"more F's than A's."
http://1010wins.com/topstories/local_story_338192421.html
Committee Chairman Thomas Kean, put it into blunt words that even a
Bush supporter can understand:
"God help us if we have another attack."
And it seems that "God help us" has actually been the Bush
administration's plan all along, since they've done bugger all to
actually protect the country from attack.
Oh, sure - they've invaded Iraq (which had nothing to do with 9/11)
and secured it's deadly weapons of mass destruction (which didn't
actually exist) - but when it comes to protecting the homeland,
they're falling far short.
Commission member Jamie Gorelick said last week that America is "less
safe than we were 18 months ago ... The interest has faded. We assumed
that our government would be able to do what it needed to do, and it
didn't do it."
Brilliant.
Don't worry though - the Bush administration has taken full
responsibility for the... ha ha!
Just kidding again.
Of course they haven't taken responsibility.
Instead they've placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of
Congress, which, the last time I checked, was still run by
Republicans. http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=4202361
Time for some new leadership, perhaps?

It never impresses me anymore when the dooms day crowd cries wolf!
Been awhile since we had 911
and been since the that we have been attacked. I think thae last attack was
911.
At the time we conceived attacks were imment.
Well guess what
No attacks since 911.
The 911 commission was forced on the administration as a partisan (let
america feel good) approach of confession and cleansing for sins of
negligence over twenty years in the making.
The commission's charter has long since expired and ergo they have no
mandate; let alone a legal charter or license to inspect, examine, and or
otherwise look at or scrutinize any national or homeland security agencies
et al for possible followup since the expiration of the commision. That was
when they issued their report.
Therein lise a question: How do you issue a followup critique, report card
etc. if indeed you have no exposure or relevance in which to have gathered
information to support your claim?
The why would anyone support and even puff up said claims?
ZoooooooooooM
I guess it looks good on the dem obstructionist playbook of the ~dems get
bush~ crowd for some!!!.
Just my observation.....

Why can't the american sheeple understand that terrorism is a
microscopic problem. 3000 americans were killed on 9-11, you say? Well
.... a mundane thing like reckless driving kills that many americans
every MONTH.

Yes, but Americans can end that 3,000 every month if they wanted to.
Why should we care about 3,000 morons per month who desire to commit
suicide using automobiles?

Why would God wait until after an attack to help us?
Why doesn't He protect us in the first place?
Because Christinsanity is all ***** and 9/11 proved it...
