Actually they bleep it out. On Colin Quinn's show, a black comic named
Patrice was talking about how he got bleeped during his routine about the
DC snipers. He told a joke where the punch line was:
"Two n*ggers in a Buick"
Comedy Central bleeped out BUICK.
When Patrice was on Quinn's show -since he was a guest - they didn't bleep
anything out. Apparently they have different rules for hosts and guests.

It's bleeped. They say every word. Carlin was on Colin Quine's show and said
the 7 deadly words, but they were bleeped.
There was a South Park episode about some TV characters that said "*****,"
and it wasn't bleeped, and Comedy Central didn't bleep it either. They said
"*****" 161 more times in that half hour. They also played the South Park
movie with no editing or bleeps, except for commercials. It did start at 1am
though!
That's America for you. You can kill as many people as you want in prime
time, but if you want to say "*****," even on basic cable, you have to wait
until 1am.
