Gore urges moral crusade against global warming

OAKLAND --
Al Gore brought corporate executives and environmentally minded
investors roaring to their feet Thursday with multimedia images of an
overheating planet and a call for Americans to reclaim their "moral
authority" by tackling global warming.
"This is really not a political issue, it is disguised as a political
issue," Gore said.
"It is a moral issue, it is an ethical issue -- If we allow this to
happen, we will destroy the habitability of the planet. We can't do
that, and I am confident we won't do that."

what a freak. I watched his crusade on FSTV, he says this little
corner of the anartic melting is going to raise world wide ocean levels
by 10 feet, what a load of crap.
the earth has been warming since the last ice age, nothing we can do
about it.
think about this, carbon dioxide is one atom carbon, TWO atoms
oxygen, for every carbon atom you burn using hydrocarbon fuels like
gasoline and natural gas and coal, you CONSUME two atoms of oxygen.
One gallon of gasoline burns in oxygen, and removes 20 lbs of oxygen
from the atmosphere, that is a scientific fact anyone can verify.
One jet airplane burns 6,000 gallons of fuel an hour, which means it
burns 120,000 lbs of oxgen an hour. It takes a large volume of air to
produce a pound of oxygen.
Now consider the thousands of airplanes flying constantly through your
skies, not to mention the cars burning your oxygen up. we could very
well be burning up all the oxygen. Less oxygen in the air, means less
oxygen in the water, this is why the fish have all died in tens of
thousands of lakes and streams, the oxygen gets used up by the algae.

The above is not true. If it were true the writer could submit it to
Science, Nature or any good scientific journal and get it published to
resounding cheers. The only problem, how to spend the money.
However the writer prefers to lie, usual for right wing repubs.

when a nuclear bomb goes off and it starts a firestorm, what will kill
the most people is all the oxygen being sucked out of the air, everyone
in the city will be killed, because all the oxygen will get burned up.
That's what happened in the firebombings in world war II.

that's how napalm killed in Vietnam, it's primary lethality was through
it's suffocating people by burning out all the oxygen around them.
