fuel reserves because many landfills use methane collectors and use it as

I can't say I disagree with you here. I consider myself a Democrat, but only
because I tend I agree with their policies far more than I agree with
Republican ones. You're right when you say for most loyal partisan
supporters its like being on teams. A bitter rivalry. I wonder, though, if
its just the hardcore supporters/extremists or is it the majority of the
membership. I think maybe 4 years ago it was the former, but the way Bush
has divided this country it seems to now be the latter. And you're even more
right when you say that kind of thinking is a big reason why we're in the

I don't know if I agree with the last part, Kurt. If anything, the last 4
years has taught us this country is pretty evenly divided politically. If
you have another term of Bush failures, a lot of people will start swinging
the other way. Obviously not the extremists like the NRA and the hardcore
Christian groups, but the moderate voters. Its already happening now, the
question is whether it will be enough to defeat Bush in November. If its not
though, I just expect those of us on the left to solidify our beliefs, while
Bush alienates more moderate right-wingers with his idiotic policies and his
corrupt and embarassing administration.

promote the general welfare, (Advertise, legislate, publish: that
which is benificial to the society)

secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,
(Defend our Consitution)
do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of
America.
Do liberals understand the meaning of "ordain"?????
"To order by virtue of superior authority; decree or enact."
And who was the "superior authority?" "We the people of the United States,"
not your God.
Thinking that a refresher course of the Federalist Papers would bring
light of the influence God and Religious beliefs...not
religion....had in forming the bounderies of our country.
Who mentioned "God" anyway. This is about Liberalism vs. Tyranny.
BTW...weren't the first colonies cooperatives, and didn't they fail
misserably? Isn't that failure of the communal lifestyle the impitus
for the free market ecomony?

The freedom to invent, market, and prosper in the free market system is the
reason that our country is the world leader in chemical or biological
developments, medical advancements, technology, engineering, environmental
protections, scholastic opportunities, economic opportunites, and family.
We are the worlds leading provider of aid to 3rd world countries. We are
the leader providing medical treatments and advancements to everyone around
the world. Can we do better? Maybe.

of millions of people all over the world are better off because of who

months and came up with the Constitution, four pieces of paper, created and
signed by men of different faiths.
Moses came out the mountains to deliver two stone tablets with the Ten

Even the Supreme Court said that we can't hold people indefinately without
access to a lawyer, which is exactly what the Bush administration did, until
checked by the Supreme Court.
If Bush is re-selected, there is a good opportunity that he'll get to
appoint 4 new justices. What check will balance out the abuses of the Bush
administration then?

Really? Then why did terrorism go up last year to 20 year high?
The world was much better off before we needlessly destabilized the Middle
East more than it already was by invading Iraq on totally false pretences.
The America of old went to war in Iraq because Saddam did the same thing in
Kuwait, when he invaded and occupied it on the false premise of regaining a
lost Iraqi province. The NeoCons have brought America down to the level of
Saddam, right down to torturing people in Abu Ghraib.
Is the World really better off after 4 years of a NeoCon AmeriKKKa?
