of the people who started the field of computer science. He was
subsequently prosecuted for his sexual orientation, which was illegal
in England in the 1950s, which made his sexual orientation a matter
of public record. His work during World War II on decrypting German
military communications made a significant difference in the outcome,
so naturally he would be well covered in historical accounts.
Saying "Proof please" isn't much different that asking for proof if
someone stated that Abraham Lincoln was the U.S. president during the
civil war.
