Object: Hospital refuses to say how many pellets hit Whittington
We need to know how many pellets hit him to determine the range!! The
coverup continues.

Estimates of the number of pellets that hit Whittington have ranged
from a half-dozen to nearly 200. Dr. David Blanchard, who has worked
on Whittington at the Corpus Christi, Texas, hospital, said it was not
"medically relevant" how many pellets had been found.

Cheney was using an Italian-made 28-gauge Perazzi shotgun with size 7½
shot. A three-quarter-ounce load of that size ammunition would
normally contain about 260 pellets, experts say. Each steel pellet is
barely the size of a peppercorn. Most hunters agreed that it was
probably the tiny size of ammunition that spared Whittington more
critical injuries. But they also said that raised troubling questions
about Cheney's version of the events.

Whittington suffered a "minor heart attack," a hospital official said,
because one of the pellets had lodged in his heart. For one of the
pellets to enter Whittington's heart, the pellet had to go through
four layers of clothing, including a jacket with thick cushioning,
before entering the chest cavity.

The press release that I saw said the pellet 'migrated' to the heart
and was vague about the 'heart attack' description (we know a cardiac
cath was done and showed "normal coronary arteries").
It was likely that initial X-rays were done and the 'migrated' term
suggests that the pellet wasn't 'in the heart' on the initial X-rays.
Since there are several valveless veins that lie fairly superficially
in the neck, did one of the pellets stop there and later migrate to the
right atrium and lodge (at least temporarily) there causing the
arrhythmia and perhaps a transient bump in the cardiac enzymes ('heart
attack of sorts')?
Like the White House Press Corps, I would like to know more, but that's
protected under privacy laws (HIPPA et al)...so it will be up to Mr.
Whittington to choose whether or not more details are released.
The Urbina article is full of speculation and downright misleading
(just one example: 7 1/2 bird shot is not 'barely the size of a
peppercorn' --- in fact, a # 7 1/2 birdshot is much much smaller than a
peppercorn and anyone can verify that to their own satisfaction--there
are approximately 350 of these #7 1/2 shot per oz--can you imagine what
350 peppercorn sized pieces of lead would weigh?)
We need more facts and less speculation.
