Are there many Danes in Estonia?

Used to be.. centuries ago.
But they's all integrated now.
By culture and language the Estonians are most closely related to
Finland.

Considering the uprising and destruction of property across much of the
Muslim world
because they "heard" that a newspaper in Copenhagen posted cartoons of
Mohammed-
I think no sane Dane would support America as "violent"- except Islamist
supporters.

Good for them. I'll take my chances with England, Israel, Japan, and
Denmark by my side. You can keep France and Germany, they're no good
at winning wars anyways.

This is US aggression and hegemony in a small country that was no threat

nothing to do with fighting Nazism.

You *must* know that.

Hitler is merely part of a pattern. Most of Western Europe has a 1,500
year history of individual subjection and serfdom. Hitler was merely
another King, Czar, Kaiser, Prince, Earl, Duke, Pope etc. that the
European people were willing to subject themselves too.

Tony Blair is Prime Minister.
It's called a constitutional monarchy.
The Queen is head of state - a bit like a president in a republic - though
nothing like your meaning of the word 'president' which I think is where the
confusion lies.
It's more like the French system where they have an elected head of state
*and* a 'prime minister' ( though I can't for the life of me remember what
they call the 'prime minister' over there)
There are plenty of worse systems than a constitional monarchy. Technically
she still wields some power and the elected parliament serve her - but in
reality she's just a figurehead. A kind of constant as 'her' governments
come and go with each election.
If we did away with the monarchy then we would have to have an elected head
of state and I think I would rather have this fairly harmless set of
chinless wonders in fancy dress doing the honours and opening hospitals etc
than an elected head of state with a political opinion.

Many Americans would consider "constitutional monarchy" an oxymoron.

The Queen is head of state - a bit like a president in a republic - though

We have vice presidents and Lt. Governors to do this kind of stuff.

God man. Yon guys still have Kings and Queens.

Because we CHOOSE to.
The monarchy was reinstated after the civil war.
I'd rather have an ineffectual figurehead-come-tourist-attraction than a
president any day.

You Euros don't have Prime Ministers, Chancellors and Presidents? What
is Tony Blair?

Tony Blair is Prime Minister.
It's called a constitutional monarchy.

Many Americans would consider "constitutional monarchy" an oxymoron.

It is a bit anachronistic it's true and there is a fairly substantial
minority in the UK that would like to see the monarchy abolished altogether.
However, the majority tend to recoil from the prospect of having someone
like Tony Blair or Maggie Thatcher as an elected 'head of state'.
The royal family aren't pretty but they keep out of politics and bring in
hundreds of millions of pounds in tourist revenue.
I think the fact that they *could* be fairly easily got rid of if the
majority wanted them gone makes people more willing to tolerate them.
It's not as if they are like -say- Hassan II of Morroco used to be - a real
absolute monarch with total power and an evil ***** to boot.
A W-S

The Queen is head of state - a bit like a president in a republic - though
nothing like your meaning of the word 'president' which I think is where
the
confusion lies.
If we did away with the monarchy then we would have to have an elected
head
of state and I think I would rather have this fairly harmless set of
chinless wonders in fancy dress doing the honours and opening hospitals
etc
than an elected head of state with a political opinion.

We have vice presidents and Lt. Governors to do this kind of stuff.
