How Religions Begin |
They are always started by a liar, often a hallucinating schizophrenic. That
seems to be the way Christianity, Islam, Mormonism and Holocaustism began.
Then, as time goes by, the physical evidence to prove or disprove it becomes
more and more faint until nothing is left but faith. By then, millions of
children have been indoctrinated in its tenets. They pass on the fable to
their offspring and off we go.

Then, as time goes by, the physical evidence to prove or disprove it
becomes
more and more faint until nothing is left but faith. By then, millions of
children have been indoctrinated in its tenets. They pass on the fable to
their offspring and off we go.
It's a bit like a chain email.
Religions have to encourage people to pass them on to other people and
"spread the word".
It's also a bit like the "I love you" virus, they play off emotional needs
that people have.
They evolve by fulfilling the needs of the people who spread the religion.

The trick is getting people to teach it to their children. Kids will believe
anything.
Right now, we get to see the formation of a new cult in real time,
Holocaustism. All children learn it and in another century the physical
evidence to disprove it will be gone.

Perhaps you should study a bit more about religions, how they were
founded, and how they began. Those who institutionalize a religion
may do so for dishonest reasons, but that has no reflection on the
founder.
A religion may simply be an attractive idea that serves as a crutch
to people too weak to stand up to the unknown without help. Ideas
(information patterns) structured in a way that allow copies to be
spread (like a virus) into other people's minds end up being a
"religion." Read up on memetics and you'll understand.

Again, read up on memes or memetics -- basically the idea is that a
religion is a mental virus that behaves just like a virus in the way
it creates copies of itself in other hosts.
