Let's get something straight. Bush is not so much a cause of our misery as a
symptom of it. Just as the virus that causes a disease represents the real
danger and not the symptoms that announce it's presence, so to is Bush only a
symptom of the real problem...a national malaise that has gripped this
country turning us inward and fearful, paralyzing our will and leaving us too
tired and exhausted to take control of our own lives and destinies. We have
abdicated that responsibility to others and have found comfort instead in an
orgy of consumerism and any other pleasures that will keep us from facing the
harsh reality of what's going on under our noses. Such a situation is the
perfect breeding ground for the Bushes of this world and their kind.
It's been said we get what we deserve, but we also get what we tolerate.
