Challenged by a spokesman for Islam, a US talk host stated new reciprocal
standards for Islam. Religions will be compared to religions: Judaism is as
it does, Catholicism is as it does, and Islam is as it does. The behavior
of Muslims over the Cartoons is unacceptable and will be criticized. He
further stated that Shariah will never be used as a standard in the West.
The current unified attempt by Muslims to prevent free speech in the West
will be resisted.
Indeed, he went on, today a young girl in Iran is sentenced to be hung for
stabbing and kill one of three men who were raping them. This is a judgment
made under shariah and does not meet the test of civilized people. He
challenged the Islamic spokesman to change this in Iran.
