Illegal Immigrants |
Hispanics.
Your first thought: illegal immigrant; Mexican; south of the border.
Aproximately 25% of the workforce where I work are Hispanics. Most
Americans think of them as being Mexicans. Fact is, most where I work are
from Quatemala. Ask them if they're Mexicans and they don't know what
you're talking about.
Quatemalans, Mexicans, whatever. They say Mexicans do work that Americans
refuse to do. I figure, give them 3 or 4 generations and they'll be just as
lazy as any other American. Oddly, I was just thinking this a few days ago.
The vast majority of the Hispanics I know are dedicated workers. Two days
ago a new Hispanic was hired. When I showed him the work he was to do,
okay. When I told him the work I was showing him was a one person job, he
quickly pronounced, "I quit."
He then informed me that he worked for a cement contractor, a Union job.
Because it was the middle of winter in Ohio, he was on seasonal unemployment
and needed to work to make more money than Unemployment was paying. I have
a brother-in-law who does the same type of work and enjoys 3 or 4 months off
work every winter and has done so for the past 20 years. The Hispanic (born
in the US and fluent in English) stated that I would have to be crazy to do
the kind of work that I was doing for the money they pay ( $8.00 per
hour )..
Perhaps I was wrong in thinking that in 3 or 4 generations the Hispanics
would become just as lazy as Americans.
Me? He's right, I'm crazy. I was born on a small family dairy farm and am
used to hard work. Most Americans are lazy and think government owes them
whatever. That's why Hispanics keep migrating to the US. They don't mind
working, that is, at least not until a generation or two down the road.
Then they become as lazy as most Americans.
Okay, point:
If we send jobs overseas, sooner or later what comes around, goes around. I
figure, unionize the laborers overseas. Teach the people overseas to be as
money hungry as Americans. When the people overseas are as materialistic as
Americans, the jobs will stop being shipped overseas. Or better yet, teach
foreigners to be as lazy as Americans. What goes around comes around.

Lazy?! Hey pay an American more than $12/hour and you will see nothing but
elbows and assholes. For $8/hour you will get someone(American) who rolls
his eyes a lot, and says check out our website.

You are dead wrong.
Americans are not lazy. We have led the world in the design and
engineering in all areas of Space, Defense, Hardware, and Software
development. We designed, built and integrated it all right here.
We designed the microchip, engineered it to work in our machines, and
developed the software technologies to harness its power. Every third
world moron is trying to cash in on our success by having our corrupt
government pandering to the wishes of big business and not protecting
the American worker.
It seems corporate CEO profits is more important that the U.S. workers
that built those companies. CEOs can cash mega million dollar salaries
but lowly American workers have to scrape by.
Americans aren't lazy, just betrayed by a government that is plastic
and lies to promote corporate profit taking by lining politicians'
pockets.
If Americans are guilty of anything is the apathetic attitude
instilled in them by constant TV commercial programming and a
government that fails them at every turn. Americans need to stand up
and demand ethical behavior in our government process.
Americans are not lazy just used and abused by the rich who influence
our government.
