Impeach Bush & Rumsfield |
Bush and Rumsfield need to be put in prison.
Video and pictures in Iraq show our soldiers committing grisly acts of
torture on Iraqi citizens, ,human rights horrors etc.
Victims are shown being flogged and having fingers chopped off. One
detainee is filmed as he is thrown from a roof. Another is beheaded by a
soldier yielding a sword. A video of a beheading shows a man placing the
severed head on the victim's prone body. Another scene shows a man's tongue
being cut out. Detainees are shown being castrated and babies being gassed
to death.
The military also is known to have used chemical weapons on innocent Iraqi
citizens.
Oops.
Wait a minute. My mistake. The above atrocities weren't committed by Bush,
Rumsfield or our military. They were committed by Saddam, his followers and
his régime.
Sorry. For a moment, I got mixed up as to who the real terrorists are.

All leaders reflect the people they lead and the culture of those people.
Anyone who for a moment thinks that the acts committed by our people in Iraq
are as brutal and inhumane as those committed by the Iraqi's against their
people, just aren't thinking clearly. That said, we do not set the
standards of our behavior by the ruthlessness of others. In relative terms
to the brutality of our culture, which is still pretty brutal at times, the
actions of our people in Iraq is on a scale of what Saddam did, in relative
terms.
We must not forget that we are at War. This is the very reason that War
must never be used as a political tool, but always the last resort and only
in direct defense of our country. If there are any truths that stand
clearly throughout History, this is one of them. No war, no matter how
noble the cause that has been fought as an elective, as has been in Iraq,
has ever turned out well in the long run and rarely in the short run.

Nice words, but without any meaning. Rather like the garbled linguistics
that fall from the inarticulate tongue of George Bush. What Babylonian king
has ever repressed the United States of which we need to be free?
Nothing changed on 911 except that the spoiled, pampered citizenry of the
United States of Disneyland experienced a faint glimpse of reality. True to
our nature, but not our heritage, we responded with fear, suspicion, and
loathing at first, then with violence and litigation.
On September 12, 2001 we were no less safe than we were on September 10,
2001. It is all a game of smoke and mirrors designed to make us give up the
freedoms for which so many have sacrificed. Not that present day Americans
have done much sacrificing for our blessed Freedom, save our troops who have
been so poorly used.
All that happened on September 11, 2001, was a group of single minded
people took advantage of the inattention of our Government and our people to
execute a plan to strike at what they believed to be the very heart of
America. They were lucky beyond belief, but no more than lucky. No other
building, or set of buildings would have fallen like the Trade Center.
In the United States of Disneyland any time something bad happens to some
one, some one else has to fork over some cash, or get their "***** kicked".
So in a world where creation of orphans is almost an industry, our
motherless, fatherless, and widowed had to be compensated in style to which
they had hoped to become accustomed. Our President and his advisors grasped
the levers of the War Machine that they had so lusted to bring into action.
Afghanistan, "liberated" from a nasty group of politicians whose repression
of their people we had previously cared little about. Osama, is put on the
run, but on the run is where he lives, rather like ole' Berr Rabbit and the
Briar Patch.
Then Bush and Gang move on to their target of choice, Iraq. And there they
ran upon Berr Rabbit's Tar Baby. George Bush at present has two fists and
two feet firmly stuck to the Tar Baby and is fixing to try to pry loose
using his head. The outside of his head, not what ever gray matter may have
survived inside his head from the years of bathing in alcohol.
When Jefferson declared that all men are created equal, despite the fact
that there were a few exceptions who were owned by Jefferson, he meant all
men. In his heart he meant the few person he owned, as well. The vision of
those idealist politicians who signed that declaration was of a world of
free men led by the example of the revolution of ideas in the Colonies.
Several years later, Adams and a group of landed men sought to establish a
Republic based in the Rule of Law. Rule of Law. Say it a couple of times,
Rule of Law. Not a rule of a Deity. Not a rule of Monarch. A Rule of Law.
One of the basic principles in this set of laws was that one could not be
punished because he *may* commit a crime. Just as we can not as a nation
deprive citizens of their freedoms for what they may do, we can not take
action against out side parties for what they may do. It is the unfortunate
price of freedom that we have to wait until a crime against us has been
committed before we can respond. If we betray this principle toward others
it will not be long before the argument will seem so rational that we will
apply it at home.
To repeat myself, we are Americans. It is our principles to which we must
be true. If they are not strong enough to preserve us, and I believe they
are, then to what shall we turn. We are not a warring people, we are a
people of peace who from time to time are led into disaster by good but
misguided intentions. When we fight what we perceive to be evil, we must
be careful not to become that evil.
Pre-emptive war is that evil. War can never be used as an instrument of
policy or politics, but only as a means of self defense against an
attacker. All other means of war are just aggression in other guises.
"Neither philosophy, nor religion, nor morality, nor wisdom, nor
interest will ever govern nations or parties against their vanity,
their pride, their resentment or revenge, or their avarice or
ambition. Nothing but force and power and strength can restrain them."

Video and pictures in Iraq show our soldiers committing grisly acts of
torture on Iraqi citizens, ,human rights horrors etc.
See the thread entitled "AP Finally Hints at Truth Behind Prison Abuse Scandal."

Detainees are shown being castrated and babies being gassed
to death.
Americans are more humane.
They kill from 10,000 feet.
The military also is known to have used chemical weapons on innocent Iraqi
citizens.
Weapons sold to Saddam by Reagan, and used with full knowledge of Reagan.
Oops.
Wait a minute. My mistake. The above atrocities weren't committed by Bush,
Rumsfield or our military. They were committed by Saddam, his followers and
his régime.
Sorry. For a moment, I got mixed up as to who the real terrorists are.

Bush #1 and Reagan sold and gave Saddam blistering agents specifically
to use against Iranians and Saddam managed to exterminate countless
Kurds along the way. Yes, the US fascists that did that should hold
just as much responsibility as their buddy Saddam.
And yes, the arms dealers that arm crackheads deserve to be held
accountable as well.

actually happened.

At least you used the correct word "alleged".
Seems "alleged" is accurate too according to the lawsuits he won.

Barta, you ignorant *****.
The "blood scam", "Hoover nose" are all part of the
nonsense unsubstantiated/unproven claims made and perpetuated
by rightwing hate groups.
And the term "alleged" used to insinuate "truth" is the
