Object: Impertinent Question # 117
European newspapers are reporting about 70 persons killed by US warplanes
and helicopters in Iraq.
US newspapers are describing them all as militants. If a person is killed
in an air attack how does one tell if they are militants ?

The intelligence on the ground reported that they were loading weapons into
a truck at one attack, and planting a road side bomb in another.

If all that the U.S. kills are the militants they probably have a couple of
millions of them ready to fight. Based on all the reports, the U.S. have
killed already massive scores of them, but they are still fighting, as if
nothing happened at all.

Good point. It's either the US are killing scores of civilians, or the
insurgents constitute a very significant part of the population.
