Object: Impertinent Question # 139
What's so strange about our government paying Iraqi newspaper
editors to publish stories favorable to the US invasion of their
country ? Our government has already been nailed paying US columnists
to publish articles favorable to Bush policies in US News Papers. The
incident that springs to mind of course is Bush's "No Child Left
Behind" program which Bush felt needed to be hyped in Afro American
newspapers. Our government has now been nailed also for setting up
secret prisons overseas to avoid granting prisoners legal rights they
might obtain in the US. Our government has been nailed for false
information about weapons of mass destruction, "atomic clouds" over
the US, etc, etc etc. In fact, this government of pathological liars
has lowered the bar on telling the truth till the bar has all but
disappeared.
