Object: impertinent Question # 158
Isn't it impressive to see that full and detailed news coverage of Iran's
nuclear research and suspected efforts to build atomic weapons includes
ZERO coverage of Israel's nuclear weapons and it's threats against Iran ?
Or, to put it another way isn't calling our reporters whores, really giving
a bad name to prostitutes ?

Rather than mention Israel make a list of all countries with nuclear
weapons...
But it's dubious to outlaw technology derived from nature and it's dubious
law for large countries with nuclear weapons to deny small countries from
having nuclear weapons.
In fact an offensive nuclear strategy depends on large geographical areas. A
small country launching a nuclear attack would be quickly wiped out with
just a few counterstrikes. So a small country can only defend siege of its
capital city with a nuclear weapon. However, a small country developing
nuclear weapons is just going to bankrupt itself and thus would be better
off with international diplomacy.
Strangely enough, large countries developing missile defense shields and
colonies on the moon may bankrupt themselves...

Okay, the countries with nuclear weapons are USA, Russia, UK, France, China,
India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel...

.. . . and a lot of suspicion about South Africa, Taiwan, Japan, and Brazil.

Show me where Israel has ever threated to wipe Iran or any other
country off the face of the planet and you might have a point. Do you
think a little nation like Israel would want to take on a country like
Iran? Your anti-semitism is showing.

No. You're wrong. Israel has threatened to attack Iran on several
occasions just in the last few months. In certain cases they have
treatened to attack is the US does not. Meaning they would rather we
fight their wars for them. And it's a cheesy, morally bankrupt
assertion to charge anti semitism against anyone who disagrees with
any Isreal position. The US media may have been totally silenced by
such vicious attacks. Thank God not everyone one has.

The only thing I've seen recently is the Iranian nutcase president
threatening to wipe Israel off the face of the planet. Or do you only
read wacko liberal publications that didn't mention that? If Israel is
threating Iran now then they are more than justified and they would be
justified in attacking Iranian nuclear facilities. If Israel decided
to do that they wouldn't need U.S. help to do it. They took out
Sadam's nuclear plants with long range air strikes a couple of decades
back. In fact they could probably do a better job than we could do.

I'm surprised you're not aware of the many threats Israel has made against
Iran. The following is a direct quote from Fox News:
Israel Threatens Iran Over Nuclear Program.
JERUSALEM - Israel will consider "all options" to prevent Iran from
producing nuclear weapons, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said in an interview
published Wednesday, marking the latest in a series of Israeli threats
against Iran's nuclear program.
Concern about Iranian nuclear development intensified last week when Iranian
Vice President Reza Aghazadeh said the country had started converting raw
uranium into the gas needed for enrichment, an important step in making a
nuclear bomb.
The declaration came in defiance of a resolution passed by the Vienna-based
International Atomic Energy Agency (the U.N. nuclear watchdog, demanding
Iran freeze all uranium enrichment - including conversion
Israel considers Iran its most dangerous enemy and worries that Iran's
nuclear weapons program is intended as a threat against it. Iran denies it
is developing nuclear weapons, saying its nuclear development program is
aimed at generating electricity.
Mofaz told the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot that Israel had to be prepared
to deal with what he called the Iranian "threat."
"All options have to be taken into account to prevent it," he was quoted as
saying.
Mofaz said there was a chance a moderate regime would emerge in Tehran to
stop the development of nuclear weapons, but if not, measures had to be
taken to prevent their deployment.
UNQUOTE.
If you Google on the three words: Israel Threatens Iran, you'll find a
DOZEN references to this issue. I now ask for your apology for accusing me
of anti-semitism for my statement regarding threats Israel has made to Iran.
As for Israel doing a "better job" than we could do in attacking anyone, I'm
surprised you hold our country in such contempt. Israel is armed funded and
supported in a dozen ways by the US. It can do little or nothing without
those US planes, tanks, armored vehicles, munitions and above all
thoseDOLLARS. It's a nation with its hand presssed deeply into the US
taxpayers pocket. Your belief in their capability is founded, and always
has been founded on AMERICAN power.
