Impertinent Question # 161 |
Under Saddam Hussein Iraq had a government that was totally
hostile to the kind of rigid, sectarian Islamic government found in the
Shiite theocracy in Iran. Now after paying for an election in Iraq what
dos it look like we achieved ? It may be that we now have a rigid,
sectarian Shiite theocracy with close ties to Iran and one which will
soon demand that we get out of their country. Ain't it great ?

Yes it is. Because, in our Iraq, the people can vote without a dumb
bunch of clerics trumping everything, and they will take that message
back to Iran. Thus, the seeds of democracy will be planted in two
nations, instead of one.
And, to be honest, having the Iraqi leadership demand that we leave the
country is EXACTLY what we want! I've been wishing they would have
done that now since they first declared sovereignty in July 04.

Careful. You're encouraging someone who numbers his posts and thinks
"stupid" and "impertinent" are symonyms to respond. You might get one.
