Object: Impertinent Question # 166
If only 36 % of Americans approve of the job Bush is doing how is
it possible that 57% are said to be in favor of going to war against
Iran ? Where did this poll come from that arrived at the 57 % figure ?
Is this just another example of the fact that polls are NOT taken to
sample public opinion. They are taken to try to shape public opinion
and give opinions to those who don't have any. Is it true what
knowledgable political observers have said about polls ? "Tell me who
takes the poll and I'll tell you what the result of the poll will be."
.
