When an airplane crashes, the nose assembly is completely
demolished. The fuselage crumples and folds in upon itself like an
accordion. Since there is nothing behind the tail assembly to slam
into it, the tail often survives a crash with very little damage to the
structure, the company logos or the paint job. Does anyone out there
remember seeing even a small piece of the tail assembly of the jet
liner which supposedly crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11 ?
