Impertinent Question # 185 |
Why is there a flurry of activity in congress to pass new
emigration laws. Do they think we're stupid ? The problem is that
our government refuses to enforce the laws that have already been
passed and are already on the books. Why should anyone believe that
new laws WILL be enforced ? The action that is needed is not another
law, but the necessary and proper action called for in the constitution
when a president refuses to enforce the law. What will congress do if
the president refuses to enforce the NEXT law ? Pass still another one
and another ? That reduces the rule of law to a farce. It would then
make more sense if we fight our disagreements out in the streets !

Yes.
If they attach a fine to this new felony, then yes, I think you'd see the
laws enforced more, but it's still some pretty hokey *****. The whole thing
is a big distraction. America has been hiring illegals while bitching about
illegals for years. No new laws are going to provide any sort of quick fix.

It's all politics to keep the middle class quiet. You know kind of like
throwing out gay marriage as a reason to vote republican. Illegal
immigration would stop tomorrow if hiring illegals was vigorously
enforced with 10 to 20 year prison sentences for the employer. The jobs
would all dry up and the illegals would all go home. No walls, no
employees not paying taxes, no fuss, no muss. But nothing is ever going
to happen except a few poor mexicans getting arrested for the photo ops.
Rich Bush republicans who love the dirt cheap illegal labor, have got
their stupid southern dummie republican base believing illegal
immigration is caused by liberals.
