Impertinent Question # 202 |
Why does J. Lieberman believe that if he spends enough money he
can win the general election ? When all the evidence shows that the
majority of Americans now believe that our invasion of Iraq was a
costly blunder.

Surrender-candidate Lamont was the millionaire businessman who spent $4
million of his own money to buy the candidacy...

I don't know how much of his own money he spent. And I suspect
you don't either. Would you feel better if he accepted money from
other people ? People who were looking for a quid pro quo ? Campaign
contributions of that kind are not actually called bribes but come
close enough so that it hardly matters. I feel more comfortable with a
candidate who can finance his own campaign and doesn't turn to
outsiders. Where will Lieberman get his cash ? Voters in Connecticut
? People from outside Connecticut ? Or people perhaps from a foreign
country who will pay almost ANYTHING to get and keep American troops on
the ground in the middle east ?
Is it possible that Lieberman could benefit from the billions in
dollars we send year after year to Israel ?
Have a nice day. bill
