How long will it take US workers to realize that Globalization is a
code
word. Translated into the vernacular it means that American workers shall
be required to compete with Chinese slave labor in a trade off that will
provide massive salaries, perks and benefits to corporate managers while
reducing the standard of living of American workers and bring an end to the
wages and benefits their ancestors struggled for and won so long ago. Isn't
it time for the American labor movement to ask itself if the low cost
trinkets and T shirts from China are worth the loss of pensions, health
benefits, paid vacations, and the eight hour day ? How long will it take
before labor realizes they are being pushed into a corner and it's time
to think about pushing back ?
