Whence cometh such optimism. ? The Israelis have been fighting
insurgents for over fifty years. Thus far they have achieved neither
victory, nor peace nor security, with no end in sight. Why should Iraq be
any different, or Afghanistan ? When will Americans realize we have fought
our way into a snake pit. and the snakes ain't going nowhere.
