Impertinent Question # Thirty Three |
American Idols ? These are a group of people with a lot of
enthusiasm for music. But why are they encouraged to believe that their
enthusiasm equals talent ? Form the rock and roll gyrations to the afro-
screeching, I didn't see any talent anywhere. Wouldn't it be great if they
held a contest to pick the best young violinist of pianist or trumpet
player ?

As long as the American music is enthralled by people in seach of the all
mighty buck and fans who are impressed with what Wall Street admen turn out,
this situation will not get better.
