Everything about the draft and the war that
we were told during the years 1964 to 1968
was a lie. The Democrats are lying to this
day about it. They killed 36,000 of us in
five years, while Nixon only managed to kill
21,000 in six years. Half of those were in
his first year when he was set up by
the Johnson thugs.
They drafted everyone, and they shipped those
of us who opposed the war straight to the
front where they shot us in the back. Dead
men tell no tales, or so they thought.
The dead GIs still speak to us in these
statistics taken from (paste the two
lines together):

vietnam_war_casualty_lists/statistics.html
year dead GIs current events (my addition)
1961 16 President Kennedy sends first combat troops
to Vietnam using cover of relief work following
a typhoon.
1962 52 Just a few more troops needed.
1963 118 Buddhist monks burn themselves to death
protesting US presense. Kennedy and
South Vietnam president Ngo Dinh Diem
announce agreement for withdrawl.
Diem is assasinated in "accidental"
US covert operation. Kennedy slips on a
bannana peel and dies. Lyndon Baines
Johnson becomes president Nov 22, and
the Kennedy-Diem agreement is reversed.
1964 206 Just a few more troops needed.
1965 1,863 We need more troops, but "there is
light at the end of the tunnel."
1966 6,143 In support of struggling Democratic
congressional candidates, Johnson
promises voters no more escalation.
1967 11,153 Here I sit in this rice paddy
Wondering about big daddy
And I know that Lyndon loves me so
Yet how sadly I remember
Way back yonder in November
When he said I'd never have to go.
Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara
resigns in December.
1968 16,592 Hey, hey, LBJ,
How many kids did you kill today?
Senator George McGovern speaks out
against the war and trounces Johnson
in the New Hampshire presidential
primary.
President Johnson drops out of the
race and endorces Vice President
Hubert Humphrey for the Democratic
nomination.
Martin Luther King Jr, speaks out
against war and is assasinated in April.
Robert Kennedy speaks out against
the war and wins enough delegates to
take Democratic nomination away
from Johnson. Kennedy is shot
and killed at a victory celebration
in June.
In a surprise anouncement at the Democratic
Convention, Hubert Humphrey proclaims that
he was "always against the war." Meanwhile
the blood of the injured and killed antiwar
demonstraters outside is washed into Chicago's
gutters with firehoses.
Republican Candidate Richard Nixon announces
he has a "secret plan" to end the war. The
media trys to label him a pro-war candidate.
Nixon ensures that nearly every photo
of him says "Peace, I really mean it!"
in sign language.
Democrats lose election. They blame the
media and civilian government. Johnson forms
sleeper cells inside the Army to prepare
for a coup. The plan is to use terrorist
methods and a false flag operation to
build public support for a new department
of "Homeland Security" run by the Army.
Kerry rushes to Vietnam to collect medals
while he still has influence. Democrats
switch sides and accuse Republicans
of starting the war.
1969 11,616 Richard Nixon takes office Jan 1969.
1970 6,081
1971 2,357
1972 641 Nixon announces peace agreement, and he
is reelected in a landslide.
There were some problems however.
Nixon enforces the agreement with
the Chistmas bombing.
1973 168
1974 178 Nixon resigns Aug 1974 after the
Secret Service bugged his office
and released the tapes to the
media. Evidence in the tapes showed
clearly that Nixon didn't play nice
with the powerful Democrats who
were shooting us in the back.
The question that nobody asked
is "Who runs this country? Is it the
elected government, or the military?"
2004 ............ So what does *War* machine Democrat hero
Kerry want to do in Iraq? Send 40,000
more troops! From where? I think I
feel a draft.
