That Safire is more libertarian than the standard issue conservative

No doubt. Indeed, as a Libertarian, I would rank Safire a foaming-at-the-
mouth, radical conservative who makes Nixon look liberal. But that's just
my judgement. Clearly, Safire likes to think he's a libertarian. It's
funny though - since about 1998, almost every person I meet who tells me
they are a libertarian is, to me, a rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth, radical
conservative. I think that some people are just ashamed to admit they are
"republicans." Hell, I got so ashamed of admitted it that I actually
became a libertarian.

My point exactly. And therein lies the truest humor. Of course, neither
Severin nor Safire has any discernable humor in them in and of
themselves.
Why do they do this? I don't know. But you cannot deny that there is
indeed a "great deal of humor" in it.
I'll concede for now that I've only heard Severin on his humorless

Don't get me wrong. Severin in and of himself is entire without humor. He
is a hateful, hating person. BUt *that* is the humor. Or at least part of
it.

THey had to extent the voting time until some repubs became so sick of
sitting there they changed their votes just to get out. Same tactic used
with the MediScam bill.

They recently discovered a new mass grave in Iraq - in the Sunni triangle
area. Reports claim that there are 2000-3000 unidentified bodies
including women and children. I hope everyone who supportst the
liberation of Iraq will join with me in demanding that perpetrator of
this mass murder be prosecuted as a war criminal.
