Inauguration --Silent Protest--Not one DAMN DIME! |
That's tomorrow! Let's do it!
Fwd: maybe this could work??!!
I don't know - think it'll work?
I heard about this on CNN, so this time it might work!
It can't really be that hard to participate.
Inauguration Day--Silent Protest--Not one damn dime!
Since our religious leaders will not speak out against
the war in Iraq, since our political leaders don't
have the moral courage to oppose it, Inauguration Day,
Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is
"Not One Damn Dime Day" in America.
On "Not One Damn Dime Day," those who oppose what is
happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a
24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer
spending.
During "Not One Damn Dime Day" please don't spend
money. Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn
dime for necessities or for impulse purchases.
Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.
On "Not One Damn Dime Day," please boycott Walmart,
KMart and Target. Please don't go to the mall or the
local convenience store.
Please don't buy any fast food (or any groceries at
all for that matter).
For 24 hours, please do what you can to shut the
retail economy down. The object is simple. Remind the
people in power that the war in Iraq is immoral and
illegal; that they are responsible for starting it and
that it is their responsibility to stop it.
"Not One Damn Dime Day" is to remind them, too, that
they work for the people of the United States of
America, not for the international corporations and K
Street lobbyists who represent the corporations and
funnel cash into American politics.
"Not One Damn Dime Day" is about supporting the
troops. The politicians put the troops in harm's way.
Now 1,200 brave young Americans and (some estimate)
100,000 Iraqis have died. The politicians owe our
troops a plan -- a way to come home.
There's no rally to attend. No marching to do. No
left- or rightwing agenda to rant about. On "Not One
Damn Dime Day" you take action by doing nothing. You
open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed. For 24
hours, nothing gets spent, not one damn dime, to
remind our religious leaders and our politicians of
their moral responsibility to end the war in Iraq and
give America back to the people.
PLEASE PASS IT ON!

It will be wonderful to shop tomorrow. Just think all the liberal wellfare
shoppers won't be standing in line with their wellfare cards. The state
goverments could save millions tomorrow.
I think we ought to have one day a month when liberals don't shop.

It's a perfect idea for the Left to participate in. Because it's easy!
It literally involves doing nothing, so it's custom designed for the
Liberals! What's more, it is utterly without substance. What you don't buy
in day you'll buy the next, so no one loses anything.

Everyone one should go on with their lives in a normal manner. Don't listen
to these pin heads, who are trying to wreck the economy. If they were to
succeed in their efforts who do you think they will blame if the economy
takes a nose dive, you got it ,it will be everybody's fault but theirs.

Are lots of women and minorities dealing drugs and running liquor

Same thing is true in my neck of the woods. Went out shopping after
watching President Bush's Inauguration. Both Home Depot and Wal*Mart were
jammed full of shoppers. Not one damn dime was being withheld.
The world is laughing at the pathetic defeated Democrats.

Generally speaking I don't believe in boycots and such.
I do feel, however that any protest, big or small against the current

Another piece of Muslim terrorist vermin has been taken out of circulation,
no longer able to brutally savage innocent Iraqi civilians! Things are
going very well indeed for the cause of freedom and democracy in that
country, as President Bush leads the United States military on a successful
series of battles in the war on Muslim Terrorism worldwide.
Three cheers for President Bush, for the United States military, and for the
Iraqi security forces!!!
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi security forces have arrested the "most lethal" top
lieutenant of Al Qaeda's leader in Iraq - a man allegedly behind 75 percent
of the car bombings in Baghdad since the U.S.-led invasion, the prime
minister's office said Monday.
Sami Mohammed Ali Said al-Jaaf, also known as Abu Omar al-Kurdi, was
arrested during a Jan. 15 raid in Baghdad, a government statement said
Monday.
Two other militants linked to Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's terror
group also have been arrested, authorities announced Monday.
Al-Jaaf was "the most lethal of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's lieutenants," the
statement said.

American "engagement" in Iraq is a disaster to rival the Vietnam War,
no matter what lies the right wing stooges at Fox are attempting to sell
people.
It's truly disconcerting that so many people can be fooled so easily.
