Increased Public Anxiety Over Bush's Handling of the War on Terror |
According to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll, public anxiety
is at such a record high, over Bush's handling of the war on
terrorism, that this anxiety has completely erased Bush's once
formidable advantage over Sen. John Kerry, concerning who is best able
to deal with the problem of terrorism. According to this poll, Bush's
approval rating has plunged a whopping 13 points since last April.
In the past, Bush consistently received high marks on his handling of
the war on terror, but this latest (and steep) decline could mark a
permanent loss of confidence in the President by the American people.
Bush appears to be a victim of his own lying, and that's a good thing,
because liars should pay a price for their lies, and hopefully he'll
pay for his lies this November. Bush has continuously tried to tie
the mess in Iraq to the war against Al Qaeda, and the 2 are not
linked, except that most experts agree that the mess in Iraq has
provided a powerful recruiting tool for the Al Qaeda terrorists. As
the situation in Iraq deteriorates, it appears that Bush's handling of
the war on terror has deteriorated too, but like I said, the Iraq war
and the war on terror were not linked in any way, but Bush has linked
them in speech after speech.
According to this poll, most Americans now say that the war in Iraq
was "not worth fighting", and that the level of casualties there is
"unacceptable".
A total of 1,015 registered voters were randomly selected to be
interviewed for this poll, and it has a margin of eror of plus or
minus 3 percentage points.

Ahhh... such clever lies and spin from the left. The words above
cleverly use the word "plunged" trying to imply that now John Kerry is
in the lead when in fact he is not.
Democrats love to lie in this way so it is hard to prove they are
lying. Its all quite devious, and clever and evil.
As evil as democratic lying is, it doesn't shock me nearly as much as
how democrats can spew lies in one breath and then spin around with
the next breath and feign outrage at unsubstantiated claims that Bush
lied. Shocking. Shocking I say.

I'm not lying, I don't have to to make Bush look bad, all I have to do
is tell the truth, and he looks bad. It doesn't take cleverness to
lie, any idiot can lie, it's easy to lie, you just make things up,
Republicans do that all the time, but then when you lie you lose all
credibility, as you should. Telling the truth, on the other hand,
takes intellect, and integrity, which I have an extreme abundance of,
thank you very much. All I was doing was quote an article from the
San Francisco Chronicle, and I provided the link:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/06/22/MNG1779REQ1.DTL
Here are the exact words:
Bush's overall job approval rating held steady at 47 percent, at its
low point in Post-ABC News polls, while his disapproval rating reached
a new high of 51 percent. That leaves Bush in a shaky position
politically, based on the rankings of other recent presidents seeking
re-election.
In a November ballot test, Kerry leads Bush 48 percent to 44 percent
among registered voters, with 6 percent supporting Nader. Last month,
Kerry and Bush were tied. With Nader out of the race, Kerry's
advantage swells to eight points, evidence of the continuing threat
that Nader's candidacy poses to the Democrat.

What happened to his approval rating on the economy? Has that slipped as
well? Or shall we not discuss it?

Bush didn't lie. If he lied then so did Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Levin, and
a host of other Dems who told us Saddam was a serious threat to the
United States.
