Lawmakers, judges exempt from Statehouse gun ban
May 22, 2007 04:25 PM - Kevin Rader/Eyewitness News
Indianapolis - Beginning next month, you will no longer be allowed to
carry firearms into the state capitol building. Security procedures are
changing, but the new rules do not apply to everyone.
Everyone wants to be outside this time of year, but beginning June 4th
if you work in the Statehouse, it will be tough getting back in.
Currently there are 13 different points of access into the Indiana
Statehouse. Beginning June 4th there will be only two: the upstairs door
on the east side and the downstairs level on the west side.
"Those two levels will have X-ray machines and magnetometer and there
will be trained staff there to executive staff security much like you
would find boarding a plane at any of the nation's airports," said
Superintendent Paul Whitesell, Indiana State Police.
Judges and lawmakers are the only state employees outside of law
enforcement who will still be able to carry guns in the Statehouse.

The cop exemption is ok but why are judges and lawmakers allowed to pack?

Lawmakers, judges exempt from Statehouse gun ban
The cop exemption is ok but why are judges and lawmakers allowed to pack?
Because they are high profile targets.

Get fucking real. It's for the same reason the same state troopers
in New Jersey that ticket you for driving far slower chauffered around
governor Jon Corzine at 95 mph. The rules they stick us peasants with
just don't apply to that Marie Antoinette class of politicians - in
any way.

Can someone answer this simple question for me: What is so special
about a "Statehouse" that it should be off-limits for (concealed/open)
carry? Are they a special target of maniacal gun-toting killers?

It looks like you have a self appointed oligarchy with special rights in
Indiana, rights not available to the common man.

Politicians, top bureaucrats, and top "mainstream" media people are
the Marie Antoinette class of America. Didn't the fact that New
Jersey governor Corzine could get the same state police ticketing you
for speeding to drive him at 95 mph teach you that?

The killers are NOT maniacs. Just sensible people who want to kill off
all these corrupt judges and lawmakers that do anything if they're paid
well enough.

Sure, it's public property which these days means it's the PRIVATE
domain of our rulers. And since our rulers have chosen to place
themselves above the law, they fear resistance from those supposedly
still UNDER the multitude of laws these people pass and enforce. So
yes, for that reason they fear gun-toting retribution for their
crimes.
And if you are a regular here, you already know what the answer is:
Law makers, their employees and those armed forces with sworn loyalty
to them (police) should be armed to the teeth with every manner of
explosive, machine gun, and weapon, while those ruled should not only
be totally disarmed of guns, knives, nail-clippers and any pointy
object (such as a Congressional Medal of Honor) but ALSO should be
assumed GUILTY and be made to PROVE they are innocent EVERY time they
enter the "public" building owned by the rulers.
Is that clear enough for ya?
