"(CBS News) CHICAGO Crowds marched through the city on Friday to rally
against HR 4437 - The Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal
Immigration Control Act of 2005."
Supporters of the bill from Congress say it beefs up border protection, but
spokesdudes for the thousands of illegals in the Chicago Latino community
called the pending bill a blatant violation of rights. That's right folks,
of their rights...not our rights.
Jay Levine, the somewhat biased, pro-illegal, CBS reporter, says the
protesters, supposedly of Polish, Irish, Latino, Chinese and many other
nationalities, gathered at Union Park, on Lake Street. Then they all marched
to the Loop carrying their protest signs and chanting, "Ho..Ho...Hell
No!...Screw You Yankees!...We Won't Go!"
From the air, it appeared to be an endless sea of demonstrators, flooding
the streets to protest the recently-passed house bill, which would make it a
crime to hire or even help undocumented immigrants, which is the current
moniker for what most of us call illegal aliens.
Organizers said it was more than half a million protesters. Police estimated
the crowd at 300,000. Why Polish, Irish and Chinese were even in the crowd
was a mystery, because few of them are illegal immigrants to begin with.
"I'm definitely surprised to see this many people," said chief protester
Cesar Garza, who didn't volunteer his status. "I expected a crowd, but this
is. wow! I'm really surprised."
Most of the protesters were illegal immigrants who took the day off work to
attend the rally
Why the INS was not present in Chicago with hundreds of busses to arrest and
deport thousands of illegals was not known.
