Iraq On the Brink of Civil War |
Iraq on the Brink of Religious [Civil] War:

There's alot of "scary" science like the transgenic goats.
The BBC described it as "inserting the human gene into
the goats" but really it's inserting a human gene fragment.
Downplaying the risk of transgenic diseases isn't PC,
but the BBC's reporting seems certainly biased towards
outraging the ultra-right Christian fundies like Mohammad
cartoons did for their Muslim counterparts.
Using DNA to predict surnames:

Mining religious fervor though should divert alot of attention
away from the multi-nationals running off with America's wealth.
Custom Chemicals:

"The major trend is globalization," says Peter Pollak,
a fine chemicals business consultant.
"A new world order is rapidly emerging."
Multinationals are also running off with American University R&D funding:

"The concern is that we're outsourcing our knowledge economy,"
Last year Bhopal residents celebrated the anniversary of their
toxic spill by demanding that Dow Chemical (which now owns
Union Carbide) clean up the site. Oddly, an American company called
"Cherokee Investment Partners" offered some "free" assistance to
the Indians. They were justifiably suspicious. Cherokee was
charged with killing a bald eagle chick:

A CDC panel has just announced their unanimous decision
that all children under 5 years of age should be vaccinated
against influenza. The "all" part doesn't make any sense.
Even the EU knows vaccinating all of its chickens against
bird flu would only increase the likelyhood of a superstrain.
Curiously the CDC stopped publishing abortion statistics in 2000
after Bush was elected.
South Dakota Bans Abortion:

The EPA is also acting very flaky these days.
Steelworkers lead drive to warn of PFOA carcinogen:
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/states/california/northern_california/13935893.htm
"Last week, the EPA's Science Advisory Board
recommended that the chemical be upgraded from
its current status as a "suggested carcinogen"
to a "likely carcinogen." That recommendation
has not yet been adopted by the EPA.
99% of Babies are Exposed to PFOA:

Heard about many Dubai developments like Palm Islands?
Usually large theme hotels/commercial centers planned for
the ultra rich. They're very glitzy about the future like
the old World Fairs used to be (except those worlds fairs
were open to the public**). I can understand how the mouths
of aristocrats would water over such things.
It's very optimistic in a bitter sweet sort of way:
** Factoid: Only 2 percent of the quarter million square
miles of Texas are considered publically accesible land.

You mean you don't believe that the same moslems rampaging over
cartoons of the prophet aren't capable of blowing up a mosque?

One thing for sure. Them Sunnis and them Shiites sure don't like each other,
so maybe it is time to let them let their hair down and settle their
differences. Them Kurds sure think it is time, and they are so much more
level-headed.
This is always what happens when an invading force never kills enough of the
invadees and doesn't make slaves of the survivors. If they had to cooperate
to even survive, like in the old days, they would soon forget their
differences and learn to work together.
America's future leaders need to learn to look at joints we want to invade
like the Democrats look at foeti.
We may have to decide which side gets the guns and gases this week.

They didn't cooperate under Saddam. The Sunnis were in control and the
Shiites were persecuted.
We may have to decide which side gets the guns and gases this week.
<<
During the Iran-Iraq war in the '80s, the U.S. helped both sides based
on the bright idea of hoping they'd keep each other weak enough that
neither one would pose a problem. Worked only for a while.
After the 1991 Gulf War, the U.S. actively encouraged the Shiites in
Iraq to rise up against Saddam, then failed to give them sufficient
support to be successful, and as a result thousands were slaughtered by
Saddam's troops.
There's lots more that may or may not be allowed to come up at Saddam's
trial.

Only way to beat terrorist is to use terrorist tactics...set traps, snipers.
No amount of conventional warfare will work...
Traitors is DC. A traitor is one who betrays one's country, a cause, or a

It's going to happen while the US is still there, which means we can't
leave.
