Iraq's Nationalist vs Sectarians |
Article says it's Iraq's nationalist block that recently petitioned to
have a timeline for Imperial withdrawal. Empire backs separatists who
want to split Iraq 3 ways, allow permanent Imperial bases and pass the
hydrocarbons law. Nationalists oppose all this, so are branded
terrorists and radicals by the Empire. Nationalists include eg al-Sadr
and his Mehdi Army. Separatists include al-Hakim and his Badr brigades.
Nationalists claim Badr brigades have been attacking them for weeks in
Basra and Brits do nothing to stop it.
