A woman on Oklahoma bought a 34' Winnebago.
After atending a UO football game, she headed home in her motorhome,
alone.
After getting on the highway, she set the cruise control, then left the
drivers seat to go back and make a sandwich (!)
Naturally, the vehicle went off the highway and was demolished, but she
escaped with minor injures.
She then proceeded to sue Winnebago, saying that the Owners Manual
didn't warn against leaving the drivers seat while using cruise control.
And, a bunch of bonehead jurors ruled in her favor, awarding her over $1
MILLION and a new Winnebgo.
WE need tort reform NOW, as well as a basic IQ test for jurors!
Thoughts, everyone?
