Kerry Received More Lobbyist Money Than Any Other Senator |

Kerry Leads in Lobby Money
Anti-Special-Interest Campaign Contrasts With Funding
By Jim VandeHei
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), who has made a fight against corporate
special interests a centerpiece of his front-running campaign for the
Democratic presidential nomination, has raised more money from paid
lobbyists than any other senator over the past 15 years, federal
records show.
Because Kerry has made his fight against "Washington special
interests" a new theme of his presidential campaign, campaign rivals
and campaign finance watchdogs have accused him of hypocrisy.
In the presidential race, Kerry has accepted contributions from the
same "special interests" he accuses Bush of being too cozy with: HMOs,
drug companies and energy firms.

I believe it was Mark Twain who called congresscritters, "America's only
native criminal class."
There was also something about politicians who were bought staying bought.
Obviously, Kerry has the reputation among lobbyists of not being the
trustworthy type, so he doesn't stay bought, as they say. That goes with his
nickname of "Flipper."
Important congresscritters seldom stay bought, and require multiple pay-offs
from the poor lobbyists
Imagine the poor schmucks who have to deal with Hillary..
