Where are the Christians who will care about the Palestinians?
KNOW THE MISERY OF THE PALESTINIANS
Below are selected quotes by Robert L. Stern, who presides over the
Pontifical Mission for Palestine:
* In Gaza a large part of the population still lives in refugee
camps, administered
by the United Nations. The camps are like a completely disorganized old
village.
The people live in cramped houses made of blocks of cement, there are no
proper
streets, but pathways more or less uneven, and they all live crammed
together.
Up to twelve people even may live in one room, because the children are
numerous.
Freedom of movement is limited. They live off the contributions of the
United Nations.
There is no work. When one of these numerous children becomes an adult and
wants
to marry, he must first have a place to go, and a wage. But there is
neither the one
nor the other for those who live in the camps. Only one extra room,
brick-built can
be added on to the original house. A room that will again look out on to the
usual dirty
streets, and the camps that have no easy access to drinkable water and
where there
is never order. It is sad to live like that.

Palestinian
boys and girls accept blowing themselves up as martyrs. They can't study,

You make a good point, certainly bombing and suicide bombing are
horrible acts. Yet I believe that what Annie intends not so much to
justify such horrible acts of resistence but to bring our attention to
their inevitability. Maybe French or Polish civilians were not as
oppressed as these Palestinians? Are you going to tell us now that
Israeli war planes and tanks treat them "nice"?

Most Palestinians have been assimilated into other countries. Some
countries have decided on a program of non-assimilation, hoping for
the Palestinians to return to their own lands. Many Palestinians
aggree with this and wish for a free united homeland where Jews and
Muslems to live together unconditionally, or at least a territory,
where they are free to live without terror.
Palestinians are not better than Russians or Indians, but they are
apparently more politically motivated to regain their nationhood, than
some other immigrant groups. Perhaps this has something to do with the
mideast, or perhaps it has to do with the conditions under which they
left. I don't know all the answers, but I do know that in the history
of the world many crimes against humanity have taken place, and that
some of them did not pass without a seemingly appropriate amount of
violent resistence.

Regain? What do you mean "regain"? There has never been any "Palestinian
nationhood" in history of this region. Nor was the Palestinian Mandate a

century when tens of millions of refugees were created in Europe and Asia
there was no such a headacke and hysteria as it is about Palestinians
today . In 1922, 1.8 million people were relocated to resolve the
Turkey-Greece war. I am not aware that Turkeys still kill Greeks or vise
versa because of that today. Following the end of WWII 3,000,000 Germans
were forced from countries of Eastern Europe and resettled in Germany. I am
not aware that Germans would rain Eastern Europe with missiles on the daily
basis. When the Indian sub-continent was divided, over 12 million people
were transferred between India and Pakistan. I am not aware that India would
send Hindus suicide bombers to mass murder Pakistani civilians in markets
and bus stops.
Why Palestinians are living under different standards ? Why they getaway
with any crimes? Because they love to murder Jews?

Christians, at heart, probably care about Palestinians for the same
reasons as all other peoples. They are a member of the human family
and are oppressed and need care. Rich Arab brothers must help offset
their terrorism and oppression at the hands of the Israelites, but for
whatever reason, it has not eliminated it, and the suffering
continues.
The money the Arabs win from oil may in some part fund terrorism, just
