LEAVE ILLEGALS ALONE! ARREST THEIR BOSSES! |
If you were to jail every person who knowingly hired an illegal alien
for a week, the influx of illegals would cease. DHS could hire a few
people to go to work at all the local DMV's, and set up a National I.D.
card system, eliminating S.S. cards in the hiring process. You can use
the new I.D. card only to pay taxes, vote, get social benefits, obtain
a passport, and prove employment eligibility, so all the Big Brother
crap goes out the window. Illegals won't be able to get them, which
means they can't work and they can't go on welfare. The people here
illegally will leave on their own. Then, an amazing thing will happen.
Business will find itself competing for workers, driving up wages and
the availability of benefits. When a landscaping job pays $16.00/hr
with medical, wait until you see how many non-immigrants come applying.
Business will absorb it, as we all absorb $3.00 gas, and Thurston
Howell will just cut back on Muffy's $500 day spa treatments to pay for
the increased cost of having his yard work done. THEN, when the economy
REALLY looks like it might slow down because of a labor shortage, which
has never happened in America, we can start processing applications for
LEGAL immigrants to come here and fill the jobs that businesses need
filled, taxing the guest workers who come to take them and requiring
the company to provide benefits so the taxpayer and emergency rooms
don't have to subsidize their business.

In 1995, the avg pay for a meat cutter in a slaughterhouse was $16.50pr hr.
Now it's $9.00, filled with immigrants; legal and illegal.
If they were paying them $20pr hr, the cost of meat per lb would go up
approx 10 cents.
Corporate America stabbing its citizens in the back and making a fortune in

The military cannot be used because of the relations we have with Mexico.
They are a major oil importer. I don't know that that is a major problem
either, as I don't see them building/buying tankers to ship the oil 1/2 way
across the world. We should beef up the border control as proposed. More
Border Patrol Agents, fences, walls, recon drones. The issue with illegals
civil rights and the fact that agents have their hands tied behind their
back is ridiculous. The major problem is that the illegals have a really
good reason to try again and again to sneak thru the border: Corporate
America will hire them. We need to crucify Corporate America.

no price/wage controls. It has been shown where it would not be expensive to
tie in business' with social security, so that they could confirm valid
numbers. Also, National I.D. cards would be difficult to counterfeit.
I don't have a problem with shipping a law abiding illegal, who has been
working in the U.S. for 10 years and hasn't committed a crime, to the
country they came from, when they've stolen a job from a U.S. citizen and
are not paying taxes.

I support militarizing the borders until a wall can be erected. A
wall is a one time expense and would require a lot less law enforcement
manpower after being built. If we just use manpower without a wall it
won't work and manpower has to be paid till the end of time. A wall
would be cheaper and more effective in the long run.

Deportation would be unneccessary when the invaders have nowhere to
work or live, and have nothing to eat. It would cost money I would
prefer not spending, and the current joke of an administration would
probably use it to corrupt our civil liberties the way they used the
Patriot Act for the " War on Terror." Having the Feds swarming
neighborhoods would mean I would have to live in a country less free
because of an invasion they allowed. It boils down to a pest control
issue. Eliminate where they eat and breed, and the problem goes away.

In 2005, Congress passed the REAL ID Act of 2005 and the President
signed it into law.
You may wish to read up on it. Start at http://thomas.loc.gov/ and
search for "real id act".
Among other things, it makes all States collect information on the
citizenship, nationality, and immigration status of all persons applying
for a driver's permit or non-driver ID card. Furthermore, all of those
forms of ID have to link to online databases which can be used to verify
that the ID is real and unaltered.
This takes full effect in 2008.
The reason this is good is that nobody can any longer say "but I had no
way to tell if they were illegal or not" when they are prosecuted.
Right now, that's the perfect excuse, due to the way the laws were
written. People are required to check the IDs of the people they hire;
they aren't required to verify the ID, so we have a huge problem with
counterfeiting, and intentional employers of illegal aliens have the
perfect loophole, and ALL of them use it. That's why there haven't been
any successful prosecutions AT ALL in recent years.
I should point out, by the present legal standards, knowingly hiring an
illegal alien can get you a lot more than a week in jail. It can get you
many years in a Federal penitentiary, and tens of thousands of dollars
in fines, if convicted.
