He got 2 1/2 years in the can and will be tempted now to make a deal,
meaning implicate others, and george, *****, and karl can't allow that.

Thew thing is, the judge has to send hm to jail forthwith. He'll still have
about 45 days before they lock him up. And then comes the 400-lb. cellmate
named Bubba.

Don't bet on it. Wouldn't surprise me if he isn't even sent to prison,
though we'll be told he was.

The judge said today that he doesn't see any reason why Libby should remain
out of prison awaiting his appeal.

Don't mean a thing. Many times the wealthy are ordered to prison and
they just don't go, though the media tells us they're in prison. Money

It's bias for a judge to see a person guilty when there is overwhelming
evidence that he is?
"Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President ***** Cheney, stood
calmly before a packed courtroom as a federal judge said the evidence
overwhelmingly proved his guilt.
"People who occupy these types of positions, where they have the welfare and
security of nation in their hands, have a special obligation to not do
anything that might create a problem," U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton
said."

No I think he's right. Libby will spend a few weeks or months in a
country-club jail--no more than a vacation really--and then he'll go
to work for some lobbying outfit where he'll make more money than he's
worth.
Look at Oliver North. Caught totally red-handed, got out of jail on a
technicality and has been going around since then telling everyone he
was 'completely exonorated'. Now he's a big hero of the Right.

1. Ted's crime was much less than Oliver's crime.
2. Ted paid his fine, got his license suspended, took his punishment.

Now, that is reall humerous.
Tubby's crime was, on a personal level, much more serious than anything
Ollie ever did.
His chicken ***** attitude resulted in the death of a real person, known to
him, and the reason why Tubby was so cavalier about her death has never been
explained. Suffice it to say that if the same circumstances involved Newtie,
they would still be dragging clams out of the Chappaquidick estuary.
His behavior that day was no different than the New Jersey assemblyman
calling in his mother in by taxi to take the rap for drunkenly wrecking his
automobile, or the state supreme court justice who to this day pretends to
be straight, while screwing every pair of lawyer pants that crossed his
sphere of influence, if they know what is good for their case.
Tubby did not pay his fine. His trust fund paid his fine. His license
suspension was the minimum allowed by the payoff. Let us not pretend he
suffered any real punishment.
The reason Tubby doesn't go around mentioning his shameful conduct at the
old playpen is that the large law firm that has been protecting the Kennedy
family from the justice system forever, has beaten it into his fat head that
he cannot, under any circumstance, mention his crime in public, or answer
any challenge to his official story without having at least 6 of the firm's
lawyers at his elbow.
And you boys think that fat son-of-a-***** cares about the little folks.
